2008 TEDS Gold Standard Award Winners: Eastman Chemical and Nortel

Eastman chemical Company , headquartered in Kingsport , Tennessee and Nortel, with world headquarters in Toronto , Ontario were the recipients of the 2008 Gold Standard Awards presented by TEDS, Inc.

Eastman Chemical received the TEDS Gold Standard Award for Excellence in Implementation of Enterprise-Wide Competency Management. The award recognizes Eastman for its innovative and highly successful management of employee competencies in a highly regulated industry.

Eastman produces over 1,200 products that enhance the lives of people worldwide.  While most of Eastman's products are not household words, they are used in making everything from packaging for food, drinks and personal care products, to the fabrics in clothing and home furnishings, to paint for homes and automobiles, to the plastics used in thousands of products.

Nortel received the TEDS Gold Standard Award for Excellence in Implementation of Global Training & Certifications. The award acknowledges Nortel's exemplary implementation of strategies and processes to develop, deliver, and manage training and professional certifications for customers, strategic business partners, and employees.
